Lotus House is a 5,737-square-foot weekend home located in west of Tokyo, Japan. Architect Kengo Kuma decided to use travertine (imported from Italy) as the choice of material. Kengo took inspiration from the Japanese tendency to blur boundaries between inside and out, and turned it into the “architecture of holes”.
